HYALGAN is used to relieve knee pain due to osteoarthritis. It is used for patients who do not get adequate relief from simple painkillers or from exercise or physical therapy.
You should not take this product if you have had any previous allergic reaction to HYALGAN or other medications containing hyaluronan. You should not have an injection into the knee if you have an infection or skin disease in the area of the injection site.

It does burn a bit. I wouldn’t say it hurts a lot. But it is a shot. If you have at least some fat (you need to be able to pinch about an inch or so) on your stomach then you will be fine. If you stomach is very flat then try you love handle area. If that is still too thin then call your doctor. They might suggest another area.

call your doc and he/she can order some blood work to check certain enzyme levels to see if this med is having one of the rare side effects..when i started on lipitor about a month later i started having muscle aches and wasnt sure if it was the meds or the aerobics class i had started…had blood work and it was not the med…don’t just stop the med,call the doc and be advised by them
